6/2 Power Training; ME Lower



After running myself ragged I took some time off last week to spend time with my bride of 10 years and went south for 5 days. We've also scaled my training back this week and i've agreed to leave one or two in the tank. Everything felt good this morning and I did leave two sets...a quarter and another plate in the tank. I hope to build on this next week!

5/18 Power Training; ME Lower (w/ vid and writeup)†

Greetings all!  It has been awhile since i've posted as i've been keeping my training journal to myself for the past several weeks.  I am still training for the Utah APF Invitational and all in all I feel stronger and more prepared than I was 3 months ago.   

Having said that, I had a rough go with the deadlift yesterday.  My lockout strength was pathetic and form was off too...all related to CNS fatigue.  I know the reasons behind it but still hard to swallow.  I had to train a day early which meant earlier in the morning and I also have run myself down pretty severely due to the lack of sleep over the past 3 weeks.  I am headed out of town for the next four days and hope to recuperate and reassess.  Time to get back to smashing weights!  I put a vid together to motivate me to grind even harder over the next 9 weeks as I prep for my July APF meet.

Rough night with the little one so we got a late start and I didn't get much done.  The squat felt heavy and the box was as low as i've ever trained with.  Trying to sure up my technical weaknesses.  Here's to a strong week next week.  Redemption is coming!
